Matthew Mouer is an Associate in RMWBH’s Corporate Section. A former paratrooper in the United States Army, he is accustomed to working in environments where “the margin for error is very slim,” making him an asset to the RMWBH Corporate Team. Matthew works with clients to draft necessary documents for for-profit business transactions including business formation, capitalization, and mergers and acquisitions. He revises and negotiates service contracts and agreements, drafts documents for purchases of assets and equity, and guides clients through the non-profit formation process, including application for state and federal tax exemption and assistance with ongoing federal and state compliance. Matthew also manages the trademark process in its entirety for clients — filing, maintenance and protection.
Matthew is most passionate about counseling his clients, guiding them through what otherwise might be considered an overwhelming process, and assisting in their desired business outcomes. He considers his success directly measured by the success of his clients and takes great pleasure in providing client-centered service.
A 2013 graduate of the University of the Ozarks with a Bachelor of Science in economics, Matthew attended law school at the University of Houston where he served as an articles editor for the Houston Business Law and Tax Journal. He received his Juris Doctor in 2020. Matthew is currently a member of the Sky Soldiers Foundation alumni organization, which provides scholarships for gold star military families and organizes charitable events benefiting the Houston community.
